Welcome

Originally I planned on giving a detailed description of what we did on each excursion, but with it being $0.75 per minute on the ship for internet, I’m going to be brief, and then once we are home on Wednesday detailed information will follow. Like our top 10 list of things that people should do when they use Carnival for their cruise.

Our excursions were great, and one of the things that we discovered was that we don’t necessarily need to book through Carnival to have a great time at a port stop. There are plenty of taxi drivers that would love to rip off tourists and show them around. Anyway, we discovered some beautiful views in Alcapulco, amazing secluded beaches in Ixtapa, and history in Manzanillo.

When we arrive back in town we will expand on our vacation and tell you how amazing the Super Club is. We’ve really been enjoying hanging out with Zach and Autumn as well. So, I will be updating our website with plenty of information and pictures by the weekend. It’s great to get away and it’s always nice to come home. Looking forward to some time with Ethan, Mel, and Val at Pint Night. Hasta la vista.

After getting checked in on Tuesday we hit the spa while leaving the Port of San Diego. In the evening while at dinner we met our table mates — Zach and Autumn from Washington — and our waiter — Larry. Morgan and I wrapped up the night by watching an unfunny comedian.

Yesterday after breakfast and the gym we spen some time laying out getting burned and meeting the waiter that we will be using for the rest of our cruise — Inyoman from Indonesia. Morgan and I booked our excursions. In Acapulco we are watching the cliff divers during our Curltural & Picturesque Acapulco excursion. The following day we will be at the Ixtapa Island Getaway and then Sunday in Manzanillo we are doing the seven hour Colonial Tour that includes recently discovered pyramids of La Compana. After our lobster dinner we went to Zach and Autumn’s room for drinks before the “High Spirits” show.

Today we slept in then went to breakfast and the gym (I worked out with Zach). It’s now about time for us to get our second share of sushi and start getting ready for our “Past Guest Party” and dinner. We’ll update again on Monday to recap the excursions.
