The website has continued to receive more and more traffic this year, I believe with the help of Facebook links and twitter posts about the new blog updates. Referring websites and search engine traffic is now higher than direct traffic. Before this year, all russandmorgan.com received was direct traffic because it’s intention was just to be used for family and friends to know what we are up to. Now with the growing popularity of the social networking sites, we now have access to let our friends know what is new with us through ‘advertising’ rather than just relying on them to come to us directly. Our traffic this month is 40.23% higher than last month but our average time on site has gone down 5.82%. We had 49 visits from friends and family via Facebook this month, so that is great to see! Filed under: Analytics Tags: Facebook, Google, Google Analytics, twitterDespite April being a really slow month for me in regards to updating our site, it has performed almost exactly as much as March despite me updating 66% less. A large part of this is due to how well we are ranked on Google for certain searches like Carnival Cruise and Boonville Beer Fest. Now that our website has been in this format I have been feeling as though I should have something important to say and that is why there hasn’t been as many updates as in the past. I have a couple of good stories brewing so look for those in the next few days, I am excited about some possibilities I have in the future. Filed under: Analytics Tags: Facebook, Google, Google Analytics, Meetup, twitterI’ve been really happy with the traffic that our website has been receiving through direct hits as well as referrals from Google, Facebook, and Twitter. I’d thought it would be nice to start sharing some stats with people who are interested. I’ll be posting a PDF similar to the one below each month with a summary of how our website is doing. You’ll find a link to the March report of russandmorgan.com in PDF format here.
